general Dress Code

Dancers are expected to be in the correct outfit (according to the class dress code) and with the proper shoes before entering the studio. We have one bathroom in the entrance to use as a change room. Please consider sending your dancers to the studio already dressed.
Our dress code is there to ensure all dancers have dressed appropriately, comfortably and in a way that allows the instructor to ensure proper form and posture. Aura Dance is a team, a group, and a dance family. With that, having all dancers dressed equally helps instill those feelings and follows with the discipline of dance.
The dress code is as follows:

Tiny Tots

Girls: pink tights and solid coloured bodysuit. Hair is neatly pulled back in a ponytail or bun. Full sole pink Ballet slippers. Dance skirts allowed (must stay above the knees).
Boys: fitted black dance pants with a fitted solid coloured shirt. Hair off the face. Black Ballet slippers.

Girls: pink tights and solid coloured bodysuit. Hair is neatly pulled back in a ponytail or bun. Full sole pink Ballet slippers & black Tap shoes. Dance skirts are allowed (but must stay above the knees).
Boys: fitted black dance pants with a fitted solid coloured shirt. Hair off the face. Black Ballet slippers & black Tap shoes.

Girls: Pink tights and solid coloured bodysuit. Hair neatly pulled back in a ballet bun. Pink Ballet slippers (full sole for Primary & Junior, split sole allowed for Intermediate & Senior).
Boys: fitted black dance pants with a fitted solid coloured shirt. Hair off the face. Black Ballet slippers.

Girls: fitted black dance pants or black dance leggings with a fitted solid coloured tank top (no crop tops) OR a solid coloured bodysuit with beige or black tights and black dance shorts. Hair is neatly pulled back in a ponytail or bun. Beige Jazz shoes.
Boys: fitted black dance pants with a fitted solid coloured shirt. Hair off the face. Beige Jazz shoes.

Girls: fitted black dance pants or black dance leggings with a fitted solid coloured tank top (no crop tops) OR a solid coloured bodysuit with beige or black tights and black dance shorts. Hair is neatly pulled back in a ponytail or bun. Black Tap shoes.
Boys: fitted black dance pants with a fitted solid coloured shirt. Hair off the face. Black Tap shoes.

Comfortable dance wear (no inappropriate wording, graphics, signs, booty shorts or crop tops). Hair neatly pulled back off the face. Clean indoor runners.
